Minnie L. Vigil, 86, resident of Albuquerque and of Llano San Juan, New Mexico was received into the loving arms of Our Lord on May 2, 2009. She is survived by daughters, Jeannette Vigil and Nina Vigil-Hollander, son-in-law Albert Hollander, grandson Jeffry Hendricks, three great-grandchildren, sister, Genoveva Martinez, Chimayo, brothers Juan Bautista Lucero, Santa Fe, Amadeo Lucero, Denver, Arthur Lucero, Pueblo, multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews. Minnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Manuel A. Vigil and foster son Florentino "Tino" Flores. A long-standing member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, a Memorial Service will be held at the Church, 1860 Griegos Rd NW on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at San Jose de Duranes Mission, 2110 Los Luceros Rd NW, on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Private Interment will be held at a later date. As an Honorary Member of Gamma Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in honor of Minnie Vigil for state/chapter scholarships.
