Obituary for EBAUGH

Rose Wilson Ebaugh, 49, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, was called by Our Lord on Monday, May 4, 2009. She was born to the Tachiinii (Red Running into the Water Clan) and born for the Todichiinii (Bitter Water Clan) in Winslow, AZ on November 27, 1959. Rose is survived by her sons, Joseph James Ebaugh, Justin Jeremy Ebaugh and Carson Gilmore Lafferty; one grandchild, Joseph Caine Ebaugh; mother, Louise Wilson; and sisters, Elsie Barber, Elouise Lee, Ella Wilson, Carol Wilson, Judy Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews; who all loved her very much. Cremation has taken place. Rose was very involved in her community and supported many social-justice causes. Much of her work were both paid and volunteer reflected her convictions. She was a SAGE Council Board Member, an Advisory Board member for the "All My Relations" program at 1st Nations, an active member of the Network of Indian Organization, worked on the ABQ Dineh Voters Project as a member of National Indian Youth Council (NIYC) and the Navajo Vote Coordinator for Navajos in Albuquerque. Employed by 1st Nations and a long time DJ for Singing Wire on KUNM- FM as Radio Rose. Rose was an avid athlete and enjoyed many sports. She was a UNM Alumnus. Memorial Service will be on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., at Calvary Church of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Road NE. A community gathering will follow at the same location. Rosary Mass will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tohatchi, NM followed by Burial at Twin Lakes family plot. Reception to follow at the Twin Lakes Chapter House.
