Obituary for MONDRAGON

Mela Eve Mondragon was born in Villanueva, New Mexico on April 11, 1943. Long time resident of Albuquerque, she quietly passed away on April 23, 2009. She is survived by her devoted husband Eddie Mondragon; beloved children, Maxine Galvez, and Edward Mondragon; eight grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many, many other relatives, as well as too many friends to count. Mela had a passion for learning and proudly received an Associate of Arts in Human Service and a Bachelor of University Studies degree from UNM. She worked for Social Security office before retiring, and had been an active participant on several committees. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family. Mela was a member of St. Bernadette's Church and will be greatly missed. A Service will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at St. Bernadette's Church, 1800 Martha St. N.E. Mela was a very giving and loving person and will stay in everyone's hearts forever.
