Arthur Lee Johnson, Sr., 80, born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and long time resident of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents Perriman and Coralee Johnson; and his brothers, Perriman Johnson and Jim Johnson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Carmen G. Johnson; his children, Margaret Selmeyer and husband Kiven, of Greenfield, Indiana, Arthur L. Johnson, Jr., of Abq., N.M. and Wesley Allen Johnson and wife Judy of Abq., N.M.; five (5) grandchildren; three (3) great-grandchildren; his brother, William Johnson and wife Wilma, residing in Germany; his brother-in-law Jose G. Gutierrez and wife Carol, of Abq., N.M.; dear niece Juanita Booher and husband Keenan and two children Ian and Lucas, of Oregon; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Arthur was an Air Force Veteran who proudly served his nation during the Korean era and later retired from The University of New Mexico after working there for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling, especially to family reunions which he and his wife attended often. Arthur will be greatly missed by the family he loved so dearly. A Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, April 27, 2009 at Garcia Mortuary. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. also at Garcia Mortuary with Interment following at The Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Raymond Gutierrez, Jr., Jonathan Garcia, Leonard Gutierrez, Guillermo Talamante, Marino Talamante and Randy Padilla. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jose G.
