Pete J Lucero, 61, died April 18, 2009. Pete is survived by his daughter Carrie M. Hurley and husband Sean, grandchildren Rhiannon and Sean Jr. He is also survived by his sister Elisa Sanchez and many other family members and friends as well as his special companions Bennie and Duffy. Pete was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, brother Rudy Lucero and his parents Elisa & Filiberto. Mr. Lucero was a graduate of UNM and became an architectural engineer and project manager on many large government construction jobs during his career. In his younger years he loved painting, enjoyed music especially playing the trumpet and was very fond of his dogs and helping others with their pets as well. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
