Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Friday April 03, 2009

Marguerite Kindrick Henson, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Henson and Kennie Warren and husband, Franklin; grandsons, Kenneth Brickley and wife, Krong-Tong, Jeffry Brickley and wife, Peggy; great-grandsons, Billy, Willy and Pittya Brickley; brothers, John Kindrick and wife, Jean, and Paul Kindrick; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene Henson; grandson, Stephen Brickley; brother, George Kindrick; and sisters, Nellie Mitchell and Betty Voigt. Marguerite was born in Colorado and raised in the Estancia Valley area. Her parents were the late CW (Uncle Sam) Kindrick and Bessie Whinery Kindrick. She was an accountant/bookkeeper for the Federal Government in various departments for a number of years. She and Kenneth married in 1941 and were together for 62 years. They loved to square dance and had the opportunity to dance at Albuquerque's 250th Anniversary presentation. Marguerite's greatest joys were her family and home, especially her grandchildren and pets. She was very proud of the fact that her father was a homesteader in Edgewood back in the early 1920's. She was very caring and helpful to all family members in need and was the one to keep the family ties together. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marguerite's life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Chapel.
