Alice M. Rouse, age 84, and a 46 year resident of New Mexico died peacefully March 13, 2008. She was born Alice Mae Alexander in Frankton. Indiana on October 7, 1924, and she kept in touch with many of her life-long friends from there. She proudly served as a Navy WAVE from 1946 until 1950. She married Gerald A. Rouse Jr. in 1950, and they had 57 years together until his death in November of 2007. She was a lifelong Christian who belonged to Ridgecrest Christian for seven years and First Christian Church for over 35 years. She and Jerry (Gerald) volunteered at The Storehouse for 27 years. She is survived by her daughter, Joan R. Irey and her daughter, Alicia R. Irey, Helen D. Williams, and Jill Marie Parmentier and her husband, Gary, and grandsons Jarred J. Parmentier and Jason Eric Parmentier. She will be remembered for her honesty, trustworthiness, concern for others, and her love and loyalty to friends and family. The family appreciates prayers. She will be buried in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Services will be private.
