Jamie Lee Nesmith, 57, of Shallowater, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, as the result of an accident. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Shallowater. Graveside Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on the same day in Hawley Cemetery in Hawley, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, March 27, 2009 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6pm to 8 p.m. Jamie was born on August 6, 1951, in Hamlin, Texas, to the late Howard Lee and Laura Jane (Gates) Smith. Jamie married Jim Nesmith on November 3, 1990, in Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos, New Mexico. She loved her family, church, and various hobbies. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jim Nesmith of Shallowater; two daughters, Amy Denise Collier of Portland, Oregon, and Laura Anastasia Nesmith of Shallowater; two sons, Christopher Shawn Collier and his wife, Leslie of Lockhart, Texas, and James Joshua Vitaly Nesmith of Shallowater; two grandchildren, Austin Michael Collier and Faith Emma Collier; two sisters, Vernetta Graham of Abilene, Texas, and Retha Clancy of Austin, Texas; several nephews and cousins; and her community and church family.
