Dennis Scott Lihte, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. He was born in New York, NY on April 6, 1950. After high school he moved to a kibbutz in Israel, and served in the Israeli military for two years. Upon returning to the U.S., he was the first director of the St. Martin's Hospitality Center for the homeless. Later he became director of the Noon Day ministries, where he retired after 20 years. He enjoyed people and made many friends. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Terri; his sons, Nathan and Jeremy, of Albuquerque; a brother, Arthur and his wife, Lory of Henderson, TN; father-in-law, Jim Goodner; sisters-in-law, Leah Parker and husband, Dan of Bellville, KS and Stephani Treadwell of Albuquerque; nieces, Lauri Bullock and Lana Randolph of Florida; and numerous other family members. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, 1:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 101 Broadway Blvd. NE.
