Olga J. Kelly, 90, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. She was born in 1918 to immigrant parents, Edward and Aslaug Haugen from Norway who homesteaded a small farm near Tioga, ND. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Morrison and husband, Frank; her sons, Gene Kelly and wife, Cindy, and Jack Kelly and wife, Peggy; and her grandchildren, Pat Kelly and wife, Heather, Jeff Morrison, Sarah Kelly, Marissa Kelly and Josh Kelly. Olga was active in her church teaching Sunday school, attending bible studies, being involved in women's groups, and she especially enjoyed working in the rose garden at Christ Lutheran. She was a kind and gentle mother, grandmother and friend, who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the staff of Elite Senior Care and Ambercare Hospice and Dr. Suzanne Pinon for their loving care of Olga during her final days. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, 7701 Candelaria Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. A reception will follow the service at the church. Although Olga loved her flowers, she would have wanted donations to be made to either Christ Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
