Obituary for JIMENEZ

Jose Vicente Jimenez, 76, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on March 18, 2009. Mr. Jimenez is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Patricia; his children, Maria Witchilda and husband, Raul, Rick and wife, Lulu, and Ted and wife, Carsia; his grandchildren, Shantei and husband, Mike, Czareine, Richard, Czierhl, Derrick, Emerald, and Xavier; his great-granddaughter, Leilani; and several extended family members and friends. Mr. Jimenez was a member of the Catholic Church, a retired Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars; he was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, a member of VFW Post 72 and a volunteer at the V.A. Medical Center at the department of the Visual Blind. Visitation will be Saturday, March 21, 2009 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 2:00 p.m. by Alice Chavez. Final visitation will be Monday at Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church, 8301 Camino San Martin SW from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father Stephen Hickman, presider. Committal Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors by the U.S. Air Force at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Ted Jimenez, Darran Thomas, Raul Madlangnayan, Rick Ocampo, Richard Ocampo and Mike Laraya.
