Obituary for CHAMBERS

Rex Chambers, Jr., 83, of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009. He is survived by two sons, Lance Chambers and wife, Katharine of Manor, TX, and Brett Chambers and partner, Alice Hanson of Albuquerque; one grandson, J.W. Cox of Austin, TX; a sister, Pearl Louise Stoklas; and many other relatives and friends. Rex was born in Joplin, Missouri, a son to the late Rex and Fredrica Chambers. He graduated from Albuquerque High School and then entered the Army Air Corp, serving his country as 2nd Lt. in the European Theater. Later, he attained a Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Med from the University of New Mexico. Rex worked for years in Government Service, retiring as a Loan Officer from the Small Business Administration. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Private interment will be held at a later date.
