Ellen Reavis, age 50, was born December 1, 1958 in Los Alamos, New Mexico. She passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009 at her home in Albuquerque. Ellen was universally admired as a skilled advocate and therapist for children with autism. She will be remembered as a passionate advocate at the State Legislature, for the recognition of the contributions of occupational therapists and physical therapists in the public schools. Ellen is survived by her partner of 15 years, Ruth Hanckel, as well as hundreds of dear friends and family who loved her and will miss her.
