Amalia C. Flores, 84, loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and rejoined with the love of her life, her husband, Jesus L. Flores on Monday, March 2, 2009. She was born in Manzano, NM to Jose and Griselda Chavez on August 28, 1924. She is survived by daughters, Stella Rager and husband Wayne, Angie Flores, Alice Seals and husband Steve, Barbara Shuler and husband Kevin, and Fran Barela and husband Willie; son, Ernesto Flores; daughter-in law, Beatrice Flores; her beloved grandchildren, Kitrina Burgess, Renee Silva, Tammy Stribling, Victor Trujillo, Debbie Arroyo, Jason Flores, Annette Mascarenas, Leon Flores, Fernando Barela, Michael Gutierrez, Tommy Sena, Nita Tartaglia, Leticia Appel, and Jacqui Lirette; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Clarita Zamora and Priscilla Rael; numerous nieces and nephews. Her lifelong work was dedication to her beloved family. She will be greatly missed by all, but her family knows that she is in the loving arms of her Lord. "We love and miss you, Mom. Be at peace with God." A Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., at Harvest Fellowship (Formerly Calvary Temple Assembly of God), 5331 Montano NW, with interment to follow at 2:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 5, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary Westside Chapel.
