Dennis William Fitzgerald, 75, resident of Belen, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 21, 2009. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Emily J. Fitzgerald; children, John Fitzgerald and partner, Louise, Anne Marie Boers and husband, Robert, Therese Cooper and husband, Doug, Mary Langlois, Matthew Fitzgerald and wife, Christina, Patty Schluter and husband, Bill, Angela Cabanillas and husband, Richard, Steve Fitzgerald and wife, Maggy, Amy Fitzgerald, Kevin Kurdi and Charles Langlois; grandchildren, Shay Cooper and wife, Allison, Emily, Anthony and Jordan Cooper, Matthew and Raechel Fitzgerald, Scott and Mary Boers, Nicholas, Shane, Chase and Jeannette Langlois, Corey Brown, Brittany Fitzgerald, Sara Lloyd, Leigh, Victoria and Anthony Schluter, Iliana and Marisa Cabanillas, Briana and Christian Kurdi, and Weston, Jack and Claire Fitzgerald; great-grandchildren, Sidney Cooper, Zoey Fitzgerald, and Zachary Brown; brothers, Kenneth Fitzgerald, and Larry Fitzgerald and wife, Nonie. He was preceded in death by brother, Wallace Fitzgerald; and grandchild, Rebecca Fitzgerald. Graveside services were held Tuesday, February 24, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
