Mercedes Maria Anita Tomisita Chavez de Peralta, 91, of Albuquerque, NM, died, Thursday, February 12, 2009. Mercedes was a meek, wonderful loving wife, sister, mother of four, grandmother of ten, great-grandmother of fourteen and great-great-grandmother of two. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nino Peralta and her parents, Teofilo and Priciliana Chavez and four brothers, Joe, Mumford, Epifano and TJ Chaves. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ophelia Elizondo; four daughters and their children and grandchildren, Juanita and Mike J. Sierra, their children, Jennifer and her daughter, Mercy Celeste and Rick Payne and their children, Rikki and Ezra, daughter, Jessica, son Michael J. and Sondra Sierra and their daughter, Audreanna, Neomi and Frank Orona, Mercy and Herman Jaramillo and their children, Pete and their daughter, Michelle and Francisco Romero and their daughter, Jacquiline, Dolores and Arnold Lopez, and their children Larry and Karen Lopez and their children, Larry Jr., Rebecca and Julie, Daniel and Jalyn Lopez and their children, Zechariah, Jezekiah, Chambray, Priscilla Holtry and her children, Daniel Leroy and Mary Rose Holtry and their children, Isaiah, Noah and Manuel, Nino Holtry and Paloma Holtry and their children, Mercedes and Tommy Kain. Her family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Margarete, Karen, Desiree, Kristin, Patricia and Deborah. Mercedes was devoted to her faith, her family, and her friends, was loved by all and will be missed by everyone who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 16, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 6509 Signal NE, Albuquerque, NM, with Paul Boatwright officiating.
