Obituary for LIEPE

Charles "Chuck" W. Liepe, 54, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 6, 2009. He is survived by his sister, Jennifer Borders and husband Walter of Wilmington, DE; two nephews, Hank and Nathan; daughter, Neala Lopez and boyfriend Amer Sinha of Albuquerque; grandson, Drake Lopez; granddaughter, Layla Sinha; aunt, Gena Tubb of Canadian, TX; cousins, Mike Tubb and Teresa Abbott; close friend, John Blackshear; and many other friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Wolfram Liepe; and his former wife, Sandra Liepe. He was born on June 10, 1954 in Germany and graduated from Highland High School in 1972. Several years later Chuck attended and graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved camping in the Jemez mountains and spending time reading and stargazing. Chuck also had a passion for fast cars, motorcycles, and 4-wheeling. In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering and creating original works of art and playing a good game of pool. Chuck was a generous person with a great sense of humor. He was a loving brother, uncle, and father and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
