Frances Lee Bivens, 86, of Albuquerque, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2009. She is survived by her son, Don Bivens and wife, Trish Refo of Paradise Valley, AZ, a daughter, Shirley and husband, Jim Roach of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren; Jody Bivens, Lisa Bivens and Andrew Bivens; David Roach and wife, Erin, Tiffany Roach-Martin and husband, Brian, Chet Roach, Heather Roach, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death in 1987 by her husband, Dr. Melvin D. Bivens, former OB/GYN department head at Lovelace Medical Center. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church for 55 years. She taught elementary school with APS for many years before retiring. A Celebration of Life service will be held for Frances on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at French-University Blvd Chapel. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
