Rufina (Ruth) Turrietta, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, was born on April 10, 1926 in Las Vegas, NM to Luisa and Frank Saccoman, went home to be with the Lord on, February 9, 2009. Mrs. Turrietta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mrs. Turrietta will be dearly missed by her children, Gloria Balaskovits and husband, Ken, Frank Turrietta and wife, Karen, Andrew Turrietta and wife, Donna, Anthony (Tony) Turrietta, and Christobal Turrietta; she is remembered with love and fondness by her sister, Lucy Garcia and husband, Ruben; her brother, Mike Saccoman; "Little Grandma," was loved by all and leaves a hole in the heart of her grandchildren, Brian Balaskovits of Tulso, OK, Ben Turrietta and wife, Leronda, Michael Balaskovits, Carlos Turrietta, Ronald Turrietta and wife, Antoinette, Phillip Turrietta, Julian Turrietta, and Nicole Turrietta; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Francesco Turrietta; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Turrietta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ben G. Turrietta; her brother, Lencho; and her sister Dulcinea (Nea) Gutierrez. Mrs. Turrietta was a member of the Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart League and an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Thursday morning at the Church from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m., Father John Tourangeau, presider.
