Thomas J.C. Somerville, 60, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at his home in Silver City. Born Thomas James Cheyne Somerville to Robert and Gretta Somerville December 21, 1948 in Sacramento, California, he has lived in Las Cruces, Albuquerque and since 1992 Silver City, New Mexico. As a general contractor for over 30 years, he was a partner in Somman Enterprises, Albuquerque, and later owner of Comstock Company, Silver City, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Dora Somerville; his beloved Aunt Annie Somerville of Ballygawley, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland; and numerous relatives in the UK, Canada, and the U.S. Services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Silver City. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Tom Somerville can be made to Gila Regional Medical Center Hospice; The Village at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Phoenix, AZ; or Good Shepherd Foundation.
