Warren L. "Red" Church, Sr., 82, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores A. Church; three children, eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Warren Church Jr. He served in the US Navy as a submariner during WWII from 1943-1945 and the Korean Conflict from January 1951 to May 1952. Warren was a former State Deputy of the Knights of Columbus. He retired in 1980 as the Director of the printing plant for the Defense Nuclear Agency on KAFB after 36 years of service. He had been a member of Holy Ghost Parish since 1954. Rosary will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE. Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday, February 5, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona, SE. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Klaurens, Eric Klaurens, JT Church, Jason Church, Jimmy Church, George Gamble and Bruno Navalesi. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Right to Life, Birth Right, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Holy Ghost School, or your favorite charity.
