Patricia "Patty" Allred, went to be with her Lord January 30, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Oliver Allred; her mother Carol Peffer; her daughter, Julie Allred Coonrod and husband Paul and her son Joe Allred and wife Rosie; grandchildren Alyssa and Jessica Coonrod, Sophia and Sam Allred; sisters, Marie Douberly and husband John, Sandra Curtis and husband Tom and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daddy Ted Peffer. Patty had an English/Spanish degree from Baylor University and a Masters Degree in English Literature from the Univ of New Mexico. Mrs. Allred was an English Teacher for 34 years in the Albuquerque Public Schools including 17 years at Highland High School. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years where she taught Sunday school. Patty enjoyed playing Bridge with her dear friends, loved to visit with people and never met a stranger. A service will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., February 3, 2009 at First Baptist Church at Broadway & Central with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
