Obituary for HANSEN

Fred T. Hansen, age 86, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away on January 26, 2009 with his loving family at his side. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Elizabeth "Lee" Hansen; his children Leslie Hennessee and companion Joe Contreras, Brian Hansen, Aaron Hansen and wife Deanna Hansen; grandchildren Justin, Tanya, Ashley, Tyler Hansen, Chris Dodd; great-grandchild Bryce Hansen, and hundreds of friends. His mother Tillie Adams; daughter Linda, and son Jeffery Hansen; preceded Fred in death. He was retired from Sandia Labs after 37 years as an engineer. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II serving our country in the South Pacific. He volunteered his time at many non-profit organizations including MS Society, Senior Olympics, UNM Mental Health Services, Bosque Farms 4-H Club, Bosque Farms Recycling Program, Yucca Little League, and Channel 5. When he wasn't volunteering his time he enjoyed walking, biking, swimming, going to the gym, feeding his cranes, and spending time with his family. Fred always brought out the best in people. His generosity touched all that knew him, and he will never be forgotten. Gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, February 7, 2009 starting at 2 p.m. Located at Brian Hansen's house, 1015 West Bosque Loop.
