Edna Loraine Butler, 79, of Moriarty, NM passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009 in Albuquerque, NM with her loving family beside her. Loraine was born on November 16, 1929 in Peoria, IL to Guervin and Martha (Woerner) Perry. She married Raymond Emery Butler on September 4, 1965 in Albuquerque, NM. Loraine was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church where she previously served as church secretary, The Order of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Torrance County Extension. Loraine was preceded in death by her parents Martha and Guervin Perry. She is survived by her husband Ray of 43 years; sons, David Van Bibber of Moriarty, NM; Michael Teahan Van Bibber of Moriarty, NM; Rhett Butler and wife Maile of Edgewood, NM; Raymond Butler II and wife Jodie of Edgewood, NM; daughters, Elizabeth Peterson and husband Richard of Surprise, AZ; Rhonda Cox and husband Waylon of San Antonio, TX; brother, Guervin "Abe" Perry and wife Julie "Bea" of Albuquerque, NM; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 10:00AM at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Moriarty, NM. Brooks Ambos and Robert Hunt will be officiating.
