Obituary for ALCON

Petrita M., 66, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2008 peacefully at home. She was born December 20, 1942 in Mora, NM. She is survived by her husband, Jacob Alcon, son, Kelly Alcon, daughter-in-law, Julie, grandchildren, Jacob and Philip, mother Laura Madrid and late father Levi Madrid, sister Kathleen Marquez and husband Tony and many relatives. Petrita was "Mrs. Harley-Davidson" as right hand woman for Jacob Alcon at Alcon's Harley-Davidson for 19 years. She was a long time member of Escribiente Calligraphy Club in Albuquerque. Her calligraphy work extended from a hobby to a profession and won many blue ribbon awards for her works that were in shows such as the NM State Fair. Petrita was a dedicated member of Thomas Aquinas Newman Center. She was always helping family and friends, and became a source of inspiration for all. In return, Petrita and her family have been overwhelmed by caring support from numerous friends, neighbors, and relatives. The family is very thankful for hospice care, oncology nurses and staff, especially Mahalia and Dr. Faccini. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Location. A mass will be held at The Aquinas Newman Center, on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., located at, 1815 Las Lomas Rd. NE 87106. French 1111 University Blvd. NE (505) 843-6333
