Obituary for HIRDMAN

Jacquelyn Hirdman, 76, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, it was there that she met and later married Alvin Hirdman. The two settled in Albuquerque in 1952, where Jackie worked for First National Bank for a number of years. Jackie is survived by her sons, Carl and Fred Hirdman; her sisters, Elizabeth Hirdman (who married Alvin's twin brother, Alva), Faye and her husband Elroy Hansen, Lenora Knight, Louise Spann, and Phronie Collins and her husband Larry; nephew Roy Dixon and his wife, Michele; and in-laws Betty and Gene Dixon; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Special thanks to Wendy of Hospice de la Luz, and Grace House. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution NE. Jackie will be laid to rest with her husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Young At Heart or Hospice de la Luz.
