Obituary for SCHINDLER

Howard B. Schindler, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 9, 2009. He was born in Newark, New Jersey on June 27, 1943, to Milton and Minna Schindler and moved to Albuquerque in 1971. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; sister, Jane Raeter of New Jersey; daughter, Erica Williamson and husband Thomas; son, David Schindler and wife Debbie, and stepdaughter Mary Blake, all of Albuquerque. He leaves behind five grandchildren, Lexie and Tommy Williamson, Amy and J.J. Thomas, and Kevin Branch Jr., and his constant companion, Bear. Many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends are left with wonderful memories. Howard retired from General Electric in 1998, where he worked as a machinist and was an active union member. He was an avid Nascar and Yankees fan who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and dad's dear friend, Carl Brezowski for helping us during this difficult time. Services will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW., on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Howard's life will be held at 4 p.m. at the Italian American Association, 1565 Stephanie Rd. in Rio Rancho, east of 528, off Sara Rd. near Intel.
