Virginia T. Saavedra, 77, a resident of Los Lunas, NM passed away on December 30, 2008, and is now in heaven with our Lord. Mrs. Saavedra is survived by her children, Don Saavedra, Donna Saavedra, Mark Saavedra and wife, Meiyun, Renee Saavedra, Michael Saavedra and wife, Grace, Vince Saavedra and wife, Lorrie; her sisters, Nattie Baca and husband, Phil, and Viola Gurule; her brother, Joe Tafoya and wife, Rita; ten grandchildren, Evan, Eric and wife, Emelia, Ian, Jacob, Sophia, Ryan, Drew, Cassie, Dan and Natasha; her two great-grandchildren, Serena and Ezrah; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Saavedra was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio. Mrs. Saavedra was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday, January 4, 2009 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome, NM with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Father Jose Hernandez, presider.
