Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday January 04, 2009

Paul DuBruille, resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Catie, and sister Virginia. Paul was born November 12, 1936 in Lewiston, Idaho, to father Louis Brock DuBruille and mother Flora Jane Macdonald. He graduated from Lewiston Senior High School in 1955. Paul attended Boise State College & Washington State University and received his Bachelors in Accounting and Economics. He received his MBA from Stanford University. Paul played College Football at both Boise State College and Washington State University. Paul also played for the NFL for a short while, and played semi-pro baseball. He served for the armed forces in Korea as a Lieutenant. Paul moved to Albuquerque and married Patty in October of 1981. Paul and Patty purchased Bolack Total Travel around that time, and ran the business continuously until it closed in October of 2008, when Paul was diagnosed with cancer. He loved golf, golden retrievers, to read, and to travel. He is remembered fondly as a caring and strong man by his employees and his family. At the deceased's request, there will be no funeral, only a celebration of his life. In memoriams can be made out to Golden Retriever Rescue of New Mexico - 3807 Manchester Drive NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. Please email Cdubruille@bolack for directions and to RSVP to the life celebration, which will be held on January 10, 2009 at 5 p.m. at the DuBruille home. The DuBruille family would like to thank Megan, Amy, and Laurie from Odyssey Hospice, and the entire staff of VistaCare, who were amazing to us in Paul's final days. To the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.
