Obituary for THURMAN

Glen Woodrow Thurman, DDS, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008. He is survived by his daughter, Jayne McDonald and husband, Randy; son, Fred Thurman and wife, Elsie; grandchildren, Griffin and Piper McDonald, Brady Thurman, Hunter Thurman and wife, Emily; and great-grandson, Mckinley Thurman. Glen was born on a farm in rural Nebraska, attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and lived in his home state until he joined the Navy and served during World War II in San Diego. After the war, a Navy buddy convinced Glen to come with him to New Mexico, where he met his wife, Sarah Jane Thurman. Glen made his home in Albuquerque, raised his family and had a successful dental practice for forty years. He was a life long member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he and Sarah were active for many years. Services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, University Chapel.
