Robert L. "Bob" Adams, 95, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on December 23, 2008. He was born May 22, 1913, in Bernardston, MA. He grew up in Hopkinton, MA, graduating from high school there in 1930. Active in little theatre groups in Framingham and New Bedford, MA, and in Dayton, OH. Mr. Adams also belonged to a professional theatre group in Portland, ME. He worked in radio broadcasting for 25 years in Worcester, MA, Chicago, IL, and Albuquerque, NM. Mr. Adams was engaged in the sales and program advertising for KHFM and the Santa Fe Opera in the 1970s. He traveled New Mexico and Texas as a sales representative until his retirement in 1976. Then, Mr. Adams turned to writing short stories and novels. He received awards from the Southwest Writers' Workshop in Albuquerque, the Society of Southwestern Authors in Tucson, AZ and the national writers' publication, the Writers Digest. Mr. Adams is survived by his wife Lorris B. Adams, of Albuquerque, NM; and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Esther Adams; and a daughter, Carole Vanderford. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE with Fr. Jack Russell and Deacon Sam Stearns presiding.
