Jose L. Duran, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, December 18, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emma S. Duran; daughter, Dee Santistevan and husband Robert; son, Andy Duran and wife Billie Jo; son, Jose Duran, Jr.; daughter, Nobella Hall and husband Terry; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Cordy Bagwell and husband Dub, Corrine Mondragon and husband Chris, and Edna Carmichael and husband Jim; brothers, Edward Duran and wife Louisa, Frank Gusdorf and wife Dorothy, and Ted Gusdorf; brother-in-law, Charlie Jones and wife Carol; aunt, Corinne Valerio; and many nieces and nephews. Jose served in the US Army during WWII and was a retired barber. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Lomas Location, 10500 Lomas NE. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, masses could be celebrated in his honor or a charity of your choice.
