Obituary for ATKINSON

Rosemary Joan Atkinson, age 84, died Wednesday December 10, 2008. She lived her final 41 years in Albuquerque. She was born in Eden Valley, Minnesota, April 14, 1924, daughter of Herman and Pauline Humbert. She lived and traveled extensively through the country as a nurse for The Santa Fe Railroad, plus Yosemite, and as a wife and mother residing on both coasts. Rosemary was also an artist, gardener, devoted Catholic, and a WWII veteran. Rosemary is survived by her husband, Lewis Francis (Bud) Atkinson Jr.; son, Donald Aldo Atkinson; daughter, Diane Marie DeLuca; and sister, Lucille Raeker. She is surrounded by 24 additional relatives and their families. Rosary will be recited Monday, December 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd Chapel with Deacon Kenn Sinatra reciting. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday December 16, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE, with the Pastor Monsg. Richard Olona, Celebrant. Ennichement will take place immediately following mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Boulevard NE. Reception will be hosted at Marion Hall located at the Church of the Risen Savior Catholic Community immediately following Ennichement.
