Richens (Dick) Lacy Wootton October 23, 1931 - December 2, 2008 Richens (Dick) Lacy Wootton passed away on December 2, 2008. He was born on October 23, 1931 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to John Peter Wootton and Elizabeth Pauline (Fuss) Wootton. He married and is survived by J. Evelyn (Bailey) Wootton. Grandson of the famous "Uncle Dick" Wootton, Dick retired from the Santa Fe Railroad (Conductor/ Brakeman) with over 30 years of service. He was also known for his house painting and wallpapering for more than a 100 miles radius. (He probably painted your house.) Dick served his country in the Korean War and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is also survived by his son Steve Wootton (Mira, Angela, Adam, R.L., Evan, Julia and Brandon); daughters Charlotte Wootton (Susan),Marchetta Mario and Emily and Cheryl Wootton (Alvin, Luke, Erin, Amber, Modd and Mylez); One sister, Evelyn Harris, sister-in-laws Glenda and Eileen Wootton and many special nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents John Peter and Elizabeth (Fuss) Wootton; siblings Margaret, John, Pauline, Robert, Billy, Loraine and Joseph; and son-in-law Bill Marchetti. Service for Dick will be held at First United Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas on December 13, 2008 and Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery (Santa Fe) Service time is pending. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity or to the First United Presbyterian Church of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Dick has been entrusted to Alternative Choice Cremation & Funeral Service, 804 N. Dustin, Farmington, New Mexico.
