MARK SAIZ, age 40, passed away December 3, 2008 with his family at his side. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Antonio Tafoya, Malaquias and Beatrice Lujan, and Marshall and Hilda Saiz. Mark was born in Santa Fe on June 23, 1968. He graduated from Santa Fe High School and worked in the jewelry and Real Estate business. Mark is survived by his parents, Judy and Mike Lujan; his father, Leonard Saiz; brother Paul Saiz; sisters: Nancy and husband Richard Abruzzo, Laura Gutierrez, Jennifer Garcia; sister-in-law, Sona Alaniz-Saiz; grandmother, Maude Tafoya; nephews: Christopher, Robert, Rico, Jon Paul, Jarrod; nieces: Nicoy, Mary Pat, Amanda; step mother, Lorraine Garcia; and numerous aunts, uncles and close friends. Mark was a loving and devoted son, brother and grandson. He was loved by many and was the "favorite uncle" of his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed and will live in our hearts forever. A Rosary and Memorial Service will take place Monday, December 8, 2008, 7 p.m. at McGee Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Southwest Cares. Serving as Pallbearers will be Mark's brother Paul and special friend John Montoya.
