Obituary for GERMACK

Richard William Germack, Sr. left our company to visit his mother and the angels on Sunday, November 30, 2008. He was born in Chicago, IL July 28, 1931 to Lillian and Rudolph Germack. He was a true Renaissance Man. He was a carpenter, a cabinet maker, an artist, a painter, a home re-modeler, a singer, a sailor, a golfer, an antique restorer, collector and dealer, and the kindest man you would ever want to meet. He resided in Albuquerque in the 1970's. He was part owner of Century Roof Tile in Albuquerque, Bocaccio's Restaurant in Rio Rancho, and Old West Photo in Old Town. He loved to golf, and managed the golf course at Elephant Butte, NM, from 2000-2001. He was an avid sailor and a member of the Anna Cappa Yacht Club in Channel Islands, CA. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Germack; and his daughters Joy Germack of Albuquerque, Jennifer Germack and her wife Dr. Cheryl Andrews of Provincetown, MA, and Diane Bucklaw and her husband Dr. Bob Bucklaw of Albuquerque. He was predeceased by his son Richard William Germack, Jr. He is also survived by his granddaughter Jessica Frazer of Eugene, OR; his brother Garth Rudolph Germack and his wife Cheryl Germack; his niece Cathy Germack of Albuquerque, his niece Dawn Coslow of Eugene, OR; his nephew Garth Richard Germack of Forest City, NC; and his niece Barbara Vitek of Willmington, OH. There will be a Memorial for him in the Wesson Room of the First Unitarian Church, 3701 Carlisle NE, Sunday December 7, 2008 at 2 p.m.
