Frederick Gustavous Gaffney Jr., 90, a resident of Albuquerque since 1999, passed away peacefully November 17, 2008. Fred, a retired military officer, was a lifelong Shriner, and member of the Masonic Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Optimist Club. He was preceded by his loving wife, Dorothy. He is survived by his children, Fred and Suzie Gaffney of Juneau, Patricia Gaffney Thomas of Austin, Theresa Gaffney of San Francisco, Michael and Bonny Gaffney of Albuquerque. He has nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who adore him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A private family memorial will be held.
