Donald W. Hastings resident, Donald W. Carson, 81, died Thursday, November 20, 2008 at his home. Services will be at a later date in Colorado. The body was cremated. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Arrangements by the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Donald was born, November 24, 1926 to Ray and Eva A. (Kline) Carson in Geneva, NE. He was in the Navy during WWII as a radioman in Shanghai, China from November 22, 1944 to July 23, 1946. He worked in sales and estimating for floor coverings and pre-cast concrete. He had lived in the Hastings area for 16 years. He is survived by one daughter, Deborah L. Carson of Arvada, CO; and two sons, Michael R. Carson of Arvada, CO and Wayne D. Carson of Denver, CO; three grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and two sisters. Memorials may be given to the family.
