Jose Jesus March 19, 1927 - November 16, 2008 Jose J. Madrid, age 81, of Clovis, NM died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM with Father John Daniel officiating. Pallbearers will be Daniel Madrid, Albert Kwan, Thomas Kwan, Dr. Robert Kwan, Brian Kwan, and Joseph Kwan. Memorial Contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Food Bank, 911 Merriwether, Clovis, NM 88101. Jose was born March 19, 1927 in Fabens, TX. In 1951, he married Rita Sanchez. He worked in construction and retired as a ground keeper for UNM. He enjoyed working in all types of construction from woodworking to plastering. He had a love for boxing and baseball. Survivors include his two sons, Joe S. (Judy) Madrid of Albuquerque, NM, and Danny (Fran) Madrid of Rio Rancho, NM; two daughters, Emma Herrera of Albuquerque, NM, and Dolores (Virgile) Morris of Muleshoe, TX; nine grandchildren, Daniel Madrid, Albert Kwan, Dr. Rita Kwan, Thomas Kwan, Dr. Robert Kwan, Brian Kwan, Joseph Kwan, Phillip Herrera, and Jeanette Herrera; and a great-grandchild, Breanna Kwan.
