Obituary for STARR

Jerry "Luthier" Starr, died Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the age of 71. He was born December 24, 1936 in Schofield, WI. The son of the late Leo and Josephine Suchomski, Jerry resided in Albuquerque for the last 40 years. He handcrafted musical instruments for the last 30 years and was an accomplished musician. He was considered to be a very good friend, honest and caring. He will be dearly missed by everyone who's lived he touched. Jerry's family and friends will especially miss his wonderful voice and guitar playing. He was most admired by his family in New Mexico. Jerry's family and friends considered him to be a "genius" at anything he attempted. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Kathy Griego Starr of Dixon, NM; one son, Jerry Clint Starr (38) and his wife Olivia-Ulibarri Starr, of Albuquerque; three granddaughters, Chantel (12), Lacey (4) and Belle (3); one brother, Ray of Harshaw, WI; one sister, Connie of Mosinee, WI; other family members and friends who loved him, will miss him. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mt.
