M. Ross Packard spread his wings and took flight on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. He proudly served his country in the US Navy in Vietnam. At 59 years of age, his gentle spirit touched everyone he met. He loved his three cats and riding his Harley. Ross' sense of humor, charming wit, great laugh, and sweet smile will be missed by all. He is survived by three sisters, Marsha and husband, Avery Hamner, and their children, Dawn, Jay, and Averia of Port Orchard WA, Marcie Packard of Costa Mesa, CA, Marla Packard-Smith and husband, William; and their son, David Tollerud and wife, Lauryn, of Prattville, AL. A Memorial Service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with US Navy Honors on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with a gathering to celebrate Ross' life to be held at Silva's Saloon in Bernalillo at 6:00 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St, NW, 87107. 343-8008.
