Mary Nejar, 88, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, November 2, 2008. She was born Friday, December 19, 1919 in Belem, Para, Brazil. Mary and her family immigrated to the United States when she was four years old. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Rachidi Azar Nejar; brother, Abe Nejar; sisters, Rosie Stevens, Galia Macaron, Olga Macaron, Ilda Joeph, Sadie Nejar and Mentaha Mautainy. Mary is survived by her nephews and nieces, Bill Stevens and wife, Priscilla, Dolores Abraham and husband, Richard, Rosalie Parker and husband, Don, Frank Macaron, Shirley Macaron, Phyllis Cox and husband, Buddy; and many great nieces and nephews including, Michael Abraham, James Abraham, Rochelle Duran, Christine Lutz, Elizabeth Benham, Billy Stevens and Donna Rose Sauter. She lived a long life and will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family. She will be missed.
