Dorothy Hobbs, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1932, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 29, 2008. She is survived by her son, James Hobbs and wife, Ruth of Gallup; daughter, Claudia Powell and husband, Afton of Albuquerque; brother, Roy Pace and wife, Jeanette of Albuquerque; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces; brother-in-law, Wallace Hobbs; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sadler, Christine Wilson, Gladys Shaver and husband, Gene, and Beverly Noel and husband, Joe. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hobbs on March 21, 2000; and sister-in-law, Thelma Argeanas. Dorothy was a wonderful mother and friend to all that had the blessing of knowing her. We know that this is a celebration of all the happiness you had in your life here and with God. We know you are in Heaven celebrating being home with God, Jesus, John, and your loved ones that went before. This is a celebration of your homecoming. Dorothy was a card crafter with her daughter, Claudia. She and Claudia found a deep love for each other. Claudia would like to say: Mom, I love you, and you will forever be in my heart. I will see and be with you when it's God's time for me to be with you. You are my friend; I love you forever, Claudia.
