Julia Garcia, 81 a long time resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Julia is preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Eucariz Garcia; her husband Epifanio Garcia; two children; David (Eppie) Garcia, Epifanio Garcia, Jr.; and a grandchild Christy Lynn Torres. She is survived by her children Efren Garcia and wife Senaida, Josie Torres and husband George, Cathy Sanchez and husband Henry, Michael Garcia and wife Ida, Geraldine Benavidez and husband James; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, as well as by her siblings, Pablo Garcia, Bernadette Padilla, Gilbert Garcia, Joe J. Garcia, Bobby Garcia. Julia has been a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the 8th Street Chapel of the Daniels Family Funeral Services, with Rosary following immediately at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 10:30 a.m., at San Antonio Mission Church with interment following at the San Antonio Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Sanchez, Nick Sanchez, Philip Torres, Michael Garcia, Jr., James Benavidez II, Gabriel Garcia, Efren Garcia II, and Eric Garcia.
