Anita Dimas, matriarch of the Dimas family, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben M. Dimas; and children, Josie Gallegos and Raymond Dimas. She is survived by her children, Dora Sanchez, Ross Dimas and wife, Susie, Melba Olona and husband, Orlando, Peggy Sanchez and husband, Leon, Alfred Dimas and wife, Leona, Ben Dimas Jr. and wife, Dolores, Jimmie Dimas, and wife, Debbi. She is also survived by 43 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchildren, 86 great-great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great- great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Dimas will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Salazar & Sons Mortuary from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 also at Nativity Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Edward Dimas, Dale Dimas, Fred Sanchez, Sonny Dimas, Ronnie Sanchez, Jeffrey Olona, Kenneth Dimas, Jerome Dimas, and Ernie Gallegos.
