Solomon Chavez, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years who was born in Brazil, Marianeuza Bahia Chavez; two daughters, Terry Lujan and Marcy Montoya; five brothers Ray, Eloy, Johnny, Willie and Benito; two sisters Beatrice Sandoval and Josie Wasson; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Mr. Chavez was loved by all who knew him and will always be remembered as a wonderful musician. He retired from Sandia National Labs after 30 years. Cremation has taken place.
