Obituary for BRINK

Charles "Don" Brink, 57, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. He is survived by sons, Danny and Lonnie Brink, their wives, Christina and Toni, and their mother Cathy Brink; grandchildren Isaac, Rachel, Aubrie and Kylie; brother, Dane; sisters, Kimberley and Kristi, and numerous nieces and nephews. Don grew up in Farmington, NM until he joined the US Navy in 1971. After his Honorable Discharge, he moved to Albuquerque and married Cathy in 1976. Don worked numerous positions in the Albuquerque area, most notably with the US Postal Service. Don was soft spoken and was always a friendly person to talk to. He relished the challenge of a crossword puzzle and getting lost in a good book. Above all, Don was a die hard fan of the New York Football Giants and was overjoyed with their most recent Super Bowl victory. He was loved by family and friends and will always be in our hearts. Pallbearers will be Ruben Gurule, Al Wisneski, Steve Ortega, David Gurule, Tyler Briggs, and Dominic Gonzales. Friends and family may join us at French Mortuary University Blvd Chapel., 1111 University Blvd. at 10:00 AM, Tuesday the 28th for viewing. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM and burial services will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
