Obituary for OLSON

Larry Delfred Olson, born June 20, 1958, passed away October 8, 2008. Larry was born in Albuquerque, NM, received his BBA from UNM, then his MBA from College of Santa Fe. He worked at Sandia National Laboratories for 19 years. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Cindy Olson; three sisters, Sharon Espinosa, Gwen Pullen, and Gail Drane; daughter, DeDe Long and her husband Scotty; and son Bob Scholl and fiance Anna Sierra. Missing their grandpa and their favorite uncle will be nine grandchildren - Maurice, Kaytlyn, Jackie, Madison, Kayla, Joey, Cameron, Megan, and Jared, as well as his eight nephews and nieces. Larry loved life. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, his pets, his Dallas Cowboys, and traveling with Cindy. His recent adventure was parachuting out of a plane - which was one of many thrills he experienced. He also was always there to help people, giving generously of his time and expertise. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 from noon to 3 p.m., at 9729 Regal Ridge Drive NE. In honor of Larry, donations may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
