Jose C. Montoya (Little Joe) beloved father, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on October 7, 2008, after a wonderful life of 87 years. Jose a resident of Bernalillo was born in Corrales, NM on February 1, 1921. Jose was preceded in death by a son Joseph Montoya; and one son-in-law George Dominguez; as well as the mother of his children Josefita Lovato. Jose is survived by his children Julia Archibeque and husband Elias, Emma Townsend and husband David, Adela Dominguez, Sally Valdez and Tony Baros, Martin Montoya; daughter-in-law Dolores Montoya; and step son Chris Lovato. Jose is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren as well as many friends who will miss him dearly. A Rosary will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, followed by a Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Bernalillo Cemetery directly after the mass.
