Alejandro Ernest Barela (Alex) 47, went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2008 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born on February 19, 1961 in Estancia, NM. Alex grew up in Tajique, NM and later moved to Albuquerque. He was an electrician by trade. His father Ernest C. Barela; brothers, David Barela and Raymond Lozano; sisters, Diane Lozano and Yolanda Herrera preceded him in death. His three sons Eric Barela, Ivan Barela, and Jonathon Barela survive him. Also surviving him are his mother, Alvera Bailey; his sisters, Angela Garcia and Josie Garcia; and his brothers, Manuel Barela and Ernest Barela and many extended family members. A Rosary Service will he held on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church, located at 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Memorial Service will also be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Friday morning, October 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
